Bio:
A special hello to the class of 63....it has been great reading the details of everyone's lives. It is probably no surprise that Pam and I married two years out of high school in August of 65. This means that we celebrated our 40th anniversary just a couple of weeks ago. Our forty years have been full of blessings and have kept us busy.
Afther graduating from DLU in 67 we spent a short time in Toledo, OH and then Pittsburgh, PA. Came back to Nashville to join my Dad in our business "Nashville Dental Inc" This is our 100th year in business, with the Brown family going back to 1929. Our first son, Todd, was born in Toledo but we declared ourselves as living in the Midwest so he wouldn't be called a Yankee.
Our second son, Kirk, was born 16 months later after we had moved back to Nashville (actually Hendersonville) Growing up with the boys was great and we were typical high school parents watching them play football at Goodpasture. Hard to go against the Mustangs at times.
We have been blessed with our business, and I am in my
36th year there and got to work with my Dad for 20+ years. Now both of the boys
are there so we are in our third generation of Brown's and it has been a joy.
The business
has given us many opportunities to travel and meet a lot of wonderful people.
Today we have offices in Louisville, Lexington, Knoxville, Chattanooga,
Huntsville and Jackson, TN, in addition to our headquarters here. We have four
of the greatest grandkids you could imagine (I know yours are great, but not
really as great as ours). They are Allie, Colton, Cooper, and Anna; ages 10, 9,
8, and 7 and we see them every week. Kirk and Peggy (Colton and Anna) live in
Hendersonville and Todd and Amy (Allie and Cooper) in White House, and we all
attend Hendersonville Community Church so we have a lot of great family times
together. Not having daughters, having Amy and Peggy was like getting daughters
and then getting Allie and Anna was like icing on the cake.
Our lives have been wonderfully blessed through all of these years and we consider the time and friends we had at DLHS among some of those greatest blessings. I have so many memories of different ones of you and our times there. Mr Flannery's biology class, Ms. Montgomery's algebra class, Mrs Sanders history and of course our old nemesis, Mr. Lloyd, chorus, class plays, our weak effort at football, New Orleans class trip, Damon's Bible class, basketball games and crashing parties at different homes. Special thanks to Larry and Jane for doing this and looking forward to seeing those who will be there and will miss those who can't make it. Oh Yeah....Pam is doing great and stays busy but I have learned it is best to let her speak for herself.
